Program Description

As part of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Study Abroad program, this course offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Romanian society. Traveling abroad allows you to gain a deeper understanding of cultural differences and similarities, shaping how people think, work, and interact in a global context.
During this program, you’ll engage directly with the local community, collaborate with students and faculty from Babeş-Bolyai University and Transilvania University, and visit multinational corporations. You’ll also enjoy excursions to Romania’s most famous landmarks, offering a hands-on experience of the country's history, economy, and vibrant culture. By the end of this journey, you’ll not only gain new perspectives on Romania, but you’ll also return with a greater appreciation for your own culture, enhancing both your academic and personal growth.

Cost

The program cost is $TBD, plus University fees of $140, totaling $TBD. After you have applied for your desired program, you must make a deposit of $500 via ULINK. The $500 deposit is applied towards the cost of the program. The initial deadline to apply and pay the deposit is December 16th. A $100 late fee will be charged after December 15th. Program cost includes tuition for 3 credit hours, lodginG, field trips and excursions, and academic activities. Airline information will be provided to the group of participants, but airfare is not included in the program cost and must be purchased by the student. Other personal expenses include passport and visa costs, eating out, shopping, entertainment, and personal health insurance.
