MGMT 460 - Eastern European Business and Cultural Experience
This summer program, designed for business majors and minors, offers students the opportunity to explore Romania’s journey of economic and social resilience. Participants will discover how the country has rebuilt itself after centuries of occupation by the Romans, Mongols, Austro-Hungarians, Ottomans, and Communists. Alongside economic insights, students will experience Romania’s rich folklore and enchanting myths.
Program Highlights:
1. Enhance your resume while earning course credit.
2. Tour and explore Transylvania’s unique culture and economy, including Eastern Europe's growing tech hub, known as "Silicon Valley."
3. Collaborate with students from Babeș-Bolyai University and Transilvania University.
4. Visit Transylvania’s historic castles and fortresses, including 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
5. Learn about Romania’s history by visiting the Communism Victims Memorial and the home of Nobel laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel in Sighetu Marmației.
6. Spend an evening inside the medieval walls of Sighișoara Castle.
7. Enjoy a variety of excursions and activities throughout the program, making the most of Romania's vibrant landscape and history.
