How would you like to spend part of your summer teaching onsite in Costa Rica (10 days), England (2 weeks), France (6 weeks) or Italy (6 weeks)? All UL Lafayette faculty members (except graduate students) have the opportunity to teach abroad through our UL Lafayette Study Abroad Program. Faculty members spend time on-site with UL Lafayette students in some of the most historical and beautiful locations imaginable.
The Study Abroad Office is now accepting faculty applications to teach abroad for the summer of 2017. Faculty members apply to teach two courses at their desired site, with the exception of Costa Rica where only one course is taught by each faculty member. Faculty benefits include: $3,500 (for six credit hours) plus benefits, transportation, lodging, some meals and admission fees to museums, etc. The application process is completed online. Visit our website http://studyabroad.louisiana.edu/ and be sure to view all information under the "Faculty" tab.

All proposals must be approved by the department head who oversees that specific discipline. If you want to cross-list courses with HUMN or HONR, you must also receive approval from the heads of those programs. Your application is not considered complete until we have received approval from all respective departments heads/program directors for the courses you are proposing. Please review the Faculty Application Process to see how department head approval is obtained.
We have scheduled a Faculty Information Session on Monday, February 15th from 3-5 pm in Moody 123. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn more about teaching abroad as well as the application process. We'd love to answer any questions you may have!
All completed applications (including department head approval) must be submitted electronically no later than March 28, 2016.
